Studio 514 Wedding Photography | Lindsey & Peter

As minnesota transitioned from its warm summer to its stunning fall colors, Peter and Lindsey said their I dos. A Jessica Smith Photography wedding filled with navy blue wedding details and greys with twinkle lights to shine on them as they had a Studio 514 wedding ceremony and reception in minneapolis. They guys got ready at Peter's apartment; while they were getting ready they enjoyed the soccer game on TV.
During the first look and the bride and groom portraits, Lindsey and Peter were so natural at being cuddly and loving towards each other they hardly needed any direction at all.
They met at work as their organization helps prepare kids to graduate high school.

These two are madly in love and anyone walking by can see it. I am so thankful to have been able to capture their day with them.  And another shout out to the wonderful Jessica Smith for giving me the opportunity to shoot with her!

Minikahda Club Wedding Photography | Mac & Mel

It's their wedding day taking place at the beautiful Minikahda Club for their ceremony and their reception. "They are like a bride and groom from stock photos!" You know when you hear that comment it is gonna a be a good day! Another wedding shot with the wonderful Jessica Smith from Jessica Smith photography, the day for me started off shooting the guys getting ready at Mac's friend TJ's house. This group of guys were READY TO PARTY and i was excited shoot all their craziness. Before we leftthe house the guys did a beer shot and then Mac and I were on our way for the first look!

Mac and Mel were highschool sweethearts. As they got to their freshman in college they made the decision to go their separate ways as they were going to separate colleges. Over the years and on other circumstances they both found themselves transferred at the U of M, where they shortly picked up where they left off. As Mac gushed all about Mel on our car ride to the first look, one thing was truly evident, this man's heart was wholeheartedly stolen by his bride.

The weather was stunning and with the drinks flowing throughout the day, the wedding party was having a blast! The ceremony space had a breathtaking view of the minneapolis skyline! But nothing took my breath away more than watching Mac teary eyed view his bride come down to aisle. Standing by the bridesmaids I know I wasn't the only one tearing up! After the ceremony finished with the I dos and lots of cheering from the crowd we were on our way to the reception downstairs!

The grand entrance was literally that: GRAND. When the bride and groom entered the room the dance floor filled with the wedding party inviting everyone to join them on the dance floor to bring down the house. This was literally my favorite grand entrance of all time. It was fantastic. If you are ready to party please do not hesitate to book me!

Mac and Mels wedding was one of my favorite weddings I have captured and I am so grateful to have been a part of their love story! Enjoy their photos! ♡♡♡

St Olaf Wedding Photography | Kristina & Steve

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of second shooting for Jessica Smith Photography at St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN. Being my second time shooting at this location, I was ecstatic! Such a stunning campus to be shoot. The bride and groom had been together for years and had met in in their mutual spanish class her freshman year at St. Olaf.  As we started taking picture of the whole wedding party we were going through them just fine until they were suddenly broken off by a trodecitial downpour from the heavens. In a panic we asked a innocent driver by to stash the bride and groom in their back seat in order to keep them out of the rain while the rest of us made a run for shelter.

Besides the weather having a mind of its own, the rest of the day went off perfectly. The ceremony was filled with music composed by the Kristina's mother, being a professional composer.

At the reception, the bride's father spoke about how God allowed them to adopt kristina when the european government had closed its adoption policy a day before and they were able to bring her home on a small technicality. As he laid eyes on his wife and new baby girl at the airport, he then accepted the best father's day present he has ever received. While kristina's father recalled this story for all their  guests, the silence of listening ears was profound.
