Minnesota Second Shooter

Camrose Hill Wedding Photography | Abby & Curitis | Minneapolis Wedding Photographer

This Camrose Hill Wedding was a Jessica Smith Photography Wedding that I had the pleasure to second shoot for! On the back roads of Stillwater, Minnesota the fall day was meet with an unseasonably hot weather that you would expect in Mid July. To counter the heat everyone was downing water to stay hydrated which is important on any wedding day! Curtis and Abby were getting married at the same Minnesota Barn Wedding Venue that Abby's older sister had gotten married at years before. They made it their own with their fur baby Marshall who was in a schnazzy bow tie and just excited to be a part of his parents day! Abby was in a classic sweetheart lace with her hubby to be grey suited up with a bright pink tie. They said the "Heck Yes" & I do under a beautiful flower cascaded arch in a little grass grove.

Minneapolis Event Center Wedding Photography | Amanda & Nick

I was teamed up and shooting Amanda and Nick's wedding with Morning Light Photography at the Minneapolis Event Center! All of Amanda's marble and copper details had all the vendors drooling. Everything was so modern and elegant that it just gave the perfect feel throughout the venue space!  As we started shooting the day Amanda was getting the finishing touches to her hair while sitting in her hubby's  uniform. She was excited and ready to have her first look with Nick!! Who can blame her?! But the first look with her dad was first. When he turned around he was just taken aback by his beautiful daughter. Both Hannah and I were tearing up at such a precious moment!

We braced for the windy day and set up Nick for his turn to see Amanda in all her glory! They decided to have their first look right out in the garden where in a couple of hour they would become husband and wife!  Thankfully the rain held off and all we were fighting with was a little wind and chilly weather, but when you looked at Amanda and Nick goofing off at the end of the aisle you couldn't tell. The were giggling while they said their vows which made it so much fun to watch.

They finished out the night dancing it away while serving cookie dough shooters and  tastest raspberry cupcakes I have ever had.

Creekside Farm Wedding Photography | Amanda & Scotty

I second shot this beautiful wedding with Gina Zeilder at Creekside Farm. The weather on this day could not have been any more  beautiful. The sun shining and the brook babbling in the back ground really was the perfect scene! The owner of the venue showed Gina and I around when we first got there showing us all the good spots for photos. The venue is fairly new but built beautifully! Not as beautiful as our bride Amanda though. Her smile was so big the entire day, her excitement so evident. The guys were getting ready upstairs and by getting ready I mean playing mario kart until the last minute! When we finally were able to pull Scotty away for the first look we did it in a secluded part on a small bridge by the brook. Amanda's dress had the perfect amount of flow when she walked, which was fun to watch as they did their first look smiling ear to ear at each other.  With no clouds in the sky we found shade in the presence of the barn for all the photos we could take before the wedding.  The ceremony started with everyone walking up the aisle but when the turn for the bride the barn doors opened revealing Amanda with her mom and dad! It was such dramatic effect but so cool to see!

Being my first summer wedding I naturally did not put on any sunscreen. I had at least 5 - 6 people come up to me to tell me i was sun  burnt. Trust me I felt it! So after that wedding I made sure to by some for the rest of my weddings this summer !
