Engagement session

Jennifer & Tom | Home Engagement Photography

Sometimes the comfort of your home is the place you just be yourself  I always encourage my couples to choose places that are comfortable; it makes it a little easier to have someone photographing you! It gives you the best memories with the person you love in a location you love! Jenny and Tom wanted to shoot within the comfort of their own home.

With a mutual love of family, board games, cats, and fine dinning Jenny was smitten with Tom from the beginning.
As Jennifer and Tom's relationship grew deeper their love has grown stronger.

These two lover birds enjoy spending time over board games together and with friends; both being notoriously competitive, things tend to be a little crazy at times. Tom is satisfied with losing as long as in the process he beats Jenny. Despite his best efforts, Jenny will win on occasion.

Downtown St. Paul Engagement Photography | Megan & Stefan

                                                                   The Proposal

Meg and Stefan started a day trip to Red Wing. They both had the day off and wanted to take advantage of their limited freedom from their daily lives. As they weaved in and out for store fronts and lunch they eventually  came to the pier to steal away some calming moments together looking at the water. As Megan started to break away from Stefan's  embrace he simply started her name, and as she turned she was greeted by Stefan on one knee asking her for forever. Well as you can see from the photos she obviously said yes. According to stefan , megan just grabbed the ring and put it on herself with no answer. Even though she states she doesn't really remember that part.

Their wedding will be this summer. So much love; I can't wait.

St Paul Public Library Engagement Photography | Callie & Jordan

Callie and Jordan grew up in the same church where Jordan's dad was the pastor of in Hastings, Minnesota. Since they were little Jordan always had a crush on this girl a church pew away. Now fast forward a decade in the future, I get a message from Jordan about him proposing to Callie his plan was on the stone Arch Bridge...in February. My Husband and I are bundled up to the point where only our eyes could be seen. I had asked Jordan to stall because we had taken a last minute wrong turn. So when we finally did get there Jordan and Callie were making every possible stop on this bridge while I am trying to reduce the camera shake from my ice cold hands.  When he proposed she excitedly said yes!  It was so much fun to be with them then and we had just as much fun in the nice and warm summer air for their engagement session!

During the session there were some posses that I wanted to try that were out of the box but something I really wanted to try and both of them were so open and willing to give it a try. And let's be honest you know you are truly blessed with an awesome couple when after the session everyone agrees to stop for sushi in downtown St. Paul!
