Second Shooter

Aria Wedding Photography | Minneapolis Wedding Photographer | Jordan & Andy

As fall days go, the sun was shining through the yellow trees and on the smiling faces of Andy & Jordan!
The groom was one of my more stylish of this year in a deep blue suit with a velvet maroon tie! He was lightheartedly excited to see his beautiful bride Jordan.  The girls started off getting ready at the Minneapolis hotel a couple of miles from their wedding venue the Aria in Minneapolis.

We went off before the wedding to shoot on the main street to capture fun times with their friends and family!  Once photos were done we headed back to Aria to tie the knot!  Jordan's dad passed away and couldn't be their to celebrate their day. So everyone made sure dad had a chair dedicated to him so he could be a part of such an important part of the day too.

Their reception details were killer and so elegant, which made it a joy to shoot all the flowers and details in this reception space.
The party was strong in these two because once they got married the party started and everyone was ready TO PARTY HARD! Spoiler alert: Lots of dancing under the neon sign!
I wish Andy and Jordan all the happiness! Enjoy their wedding!

All joy and ready to party is the best way to describe this wedding group; I enjoyed shooting this wedding with Gina Zeidler Photography.

Interlachen Wedding Photography | Jenny & Max

This wedding I was able to shoot along side Gina Zeilder Photography.

Sooooo much about this wedding was just amazing!! The day started with Jenny fitting in her dress and wearing it like it was tailor made for her. She wore it with such grace and elegance it had me giddy all day. I was able to witness my first Ebeneezer rock ceremony where all the guests were given a rock to place into a nest in front of the couple during the ceremony. Max the groom was a complete goof ball which kept jenny laughing. They got married at the church that Jenny grew up going to which had the most beautiful large windows. One of my favorite parts happened when we got back to the reception at Interlachen Country Club. Jenny and Max had a couple of minutes where each person in the wedding party had GIANT balloons and the couple ran through them. What resulted was just magic!

Max and Jenny decided to play games during the reception- one was the shoe game where the bride and groom had one of their shoes and raise the shoe on who they thought best described the question. The guests got a jenny on a stick or a max on a stick like at the Minnesota state fair and they raised which they though suited best. Another game was who has experienced as much as the bride and groom. Have you done this type game and if you haven't you have to sit down.

Jenny's grandparents are of Norwegian descent so they had a Norwegian layered cake to honor them. Tradition goes that the bride and groom should put their figures into the top and however many rings come out when they pulled up that is how many children they will have. So you can understand grandma was pretty upset when only one ring came up. And she gave her blessing that they need to have more than one child.

This was such a beautiful wedding and  I was so honored to be a part of capturing it. One thing i hope to do again is the balloon exit!!

McNara Alumni Center Wedding Photography | Rachel & Alex

This wedding was a Grace V. Wedding. The heavens opened and the rains came down hard, but that did not drown the excitement Alex and Rachel had for their wedding day! They meet durning college at the university of Minnesota while living in the same building and mutual friends. So having their wedding at the same college they meet at was the perfect fit for them! Both the ceremony and the reception took place at the McNara Alumini Center, which was acticuarlly GORGEOUS!

This has been a very busy time for these two! Within the last two months Alex graduated with his doctorit from the u of m, married his best friend, and accepted a position at Mayo Clinic, and moving to rochester! His dad joked that they were doing more in two months than a normal person does in 2 years!

One of my favorite parts of the day took place at the reception. When Rachel and Alex first meet and started talking, a friend of Rachel's declared they were going to get married right then  and there . Rachel not a believer at that time agreed that if by some miracle it did happen the friend would get a gift for being right. Years later Rachel and Alex has a gift for this friend for being right!

There was a slight opening when the rain stopped and we quickly rushed these two outside for 20 minutes without rain, which turned into some of my favorite photos! Please enjoy!
