Engagement Photos at Moir Park with Kyle and Mattie!

Mattie and Kyle joined me at Bloomington’s Moir Park for their engagement session last week! We got a little bit of fall color and a little bit of early winter snow for our time there!

Mattie was playing the field and setting up a lot of dates in order to find someone that could be her person. They meet on hinge. Kyle stuck out in the best way. Mattie says by the second date she thought Kyle was someone she could marry; by the third date she was sure of it. Mattie was taken by Kyle’s thoughtfulness and Kyle was taken with how effortless and natural it was to be with Mattie. I think Kyle and Mattie’s story is a perfect example of when you know, you know!

Kyle purposed to Mattie at Gideon Park with her sisters hiding in the bushes to sneak some photos to keep the memories! Now they are on the road down the aisle preparing for their wedding next fall. I can’t wait to celebrate with these two love birds!

The sun worked wonders for us that’s for sure! Please enjoy a look into their engagement photos!

Megan & Alex

Megan and Alex got married on Saturday at Highland Hills! The planning was crazy all the way up to the day but the rain held off for these two and the night was all sunny skies! Megan hates the cold so she was more than delighted that it was warmer weather! But what was she more delighted about? She was marrying her best friend Alex.

The ceremony took place at the bottom of the hill with a green backdrop. The rug was a last minute addition that Alex’s mom had suggested. Alex and Megan loved the extra pop and feel it added to their simple setup. They had an intimate ceremony of 25 people who love them the deepest. Megan's brother Nick officiated the wedding which made for some fun comments of Megan's past and how happy he was when he heard the new guy she was dating (Alex) was a homeowner. Alex's little brother Archie gave the rings and Megan was able to get the ring on Alex's finger with only a little bit of struggle.

I asked Alex what he was looking forward to for today and he could not wait to get the party started! Megan was just excited to have all her friends there to celebrate with! After the ceremony, the guests started to trickle in for the reception starting off with cocktail hour! All the guests enjoyed drinks and the games set up in the back lawns for them to enjoy the evening with. Alex owns a coffee shop in Eden Prairie called Smiths; for their wedding favorites they had a Megan and Alex Blend for everyone to take home! I absolutely loved this idea! You could just tell by looking at the excitement on Alex and Megan’s faces as they greeted everyone of their guests that they were full of genuine joy! We ended with a handful of sunset portraits and I could not be more in love.

Thank you so much for letting me serve you guys on your wedding day! Please enjoy some of your wedding day photos below!
